Polynomial valuation

The valuation of a polynomial is the lowest degree of its non-zero monomials. The valuation or ldegree command finds the valuation of a polynomal.

valuation takes P, a polynomial given by a symbolic expression or by the list of its coefficients.
valuation(P) returns the valuation of P.
